![]() The documentary about the band Ketama, made by the German director Michael Meert, has reached the cinema screens. It is dedicated to Ray Heredia, a founding member of Ketama, as well as to Antonio Flores, both of whom have deceased. Moreover, the film also reviews the history of three flamenco generations: the Habichuelas (Juan and Pepe), their sons (members of Ketama) and their grandchildren: they represent the past, present and future of flame. The documentary is not just about flamenco, but rather, it talks about a family, the Carmonas, which has achieved success within the world of music, but which has also survived some terrible circumstances", Michael Meert explained. He recognises that it has not been easy to draw out the feelings and essence of Juan, Antonio and Miguel Carmona, but that in the end, thanks to 'mutual inspiration' and the re-creation of certain situations, it was possible to reach the spirit of Ketama. size: 502 MB (avi), eng. subtitles You must register before you can view this text.
